INTRODUCTION
This course is aimed at people with an intermediate level who pursue the use of photography as an instrument for the development of personal work. 

This new training proposal proposes the implementation of a photographic project by the students, taking a tour through each of the stages, from the initial idea to its editorial and exhibition expression. 

The course delves into the appropriate narrative channels for each participant, based on their profiles and needs, and making the most of their visual resources. 

Participants will receive a series of modules whose contents will cover the needs of the different phases of the project creation process. Complementary technical modules will also be taught, tools that will help enrich the project both in its production and dissemination phases.

The course aims to make participants aware of the commitment to carry out a photographic project, as well as to transmit in a practical way the knowledge and tools necessary to face the different phases that it entails.

MODULES
Module 1. 
Notes for a photography project. Alberto Rojas Maza & Antonio Pérez

In this first module, a presentation of each participant's project proposals will be carried out. Guidelines will be given about the development process of a photographic project, from the development of the idea to its reflection in a set of images. 

Analysis of photographic projects with different profiles will be carried out, from photojournalistic and documentary approaches to more conceptual proposals.

Module 2. A private history of the gaze. Miguel Romero

This module builds an evolution of the gaze from the 50s to today. The result aims to offer a whimsical vision that relates success and “failure” (for those who do not share it) a part of the world of the fixed image of our time.  We will reflect on the keys that the contemporary image offers for its proper functioning. 

An accelerated world requires pause and delay in shooting in order to move forward, you have to stop to look and think about your gaze. The image overwhelms us and the high consumption of photographs makes us anxious in front of our screens, we are sick; The screen has become a place that is sometimes presented as a great treasure and many other times as a garbage dump of images..

I intend to offer my path to images, a private and intimate path that shows a possible route of the many that exist. My intention is none other than to walk and share my found treasures.

Module 3. Workflow management and advanced digital laboratory. Marta Vázquez

The workflow in photography has a direct influence on the final result of the photos. A good number of photographers lack a solid approach to organize and maintain the volume of images they generate, sometimes taking wrong paths whose correction leads them to lose hours of work.

Finding a work method, a workflow that allows you to move forward without accumulating large amounts of work when we create thousands of images is something that is needed from the beginning of the process and that requires consistency and logic in its application. 

The photographer must leave the image as close as possible at the time of shooting, so the subsequent adjustments to be made, both to the Raw file and to the already processed Tiff, are not complex nor do they require a lot of time. 

Designing an efficient workflow is the objective of this module that seeks to optimize efforts and avoid possible errors.

Module 4. Web design for photographers. Raúl Díaz

In this module we will learn all the necessary steps to create a website with WordPress, from choosing a domain and hosting to publishing the website.

We will see how to use WordPress and manage the content of your website through its administration area and how to install and use templates, both premium and free, that will help you design the interface of your portfolio.

We will learn to organize your work, prioritize them and layout them in an attractive way. We will work on guidelines to make the website easy to use for all users regardless of the device from which they visit it.  

We will start from scratch, so it is NOT necessary to have prior knowledge in creating websites with WordPress.

Module 5.
Conceptualization and editorial production. From the model to the photobook. Montse Puig. Ediciones anómalas. 

This module aims to be a first contact with the publishing world.

1. Theoretical session with practical examples. Topics: Editorial vs. Desktop Publishing. Financing and production costs. Editing contract for photographers. Editing, design, prepress and printing process: keys to keep in mind. Distribution and bookstores. Promotion and press. 

2. Practical sessions: the idea is to talk about the entire process through some practical examples of books that we have published, from the first contact to the different sales and promotion channels. Different design and material approaches; choice of format, types of papers. We will see examples of the editing of some of our books, of which I will bring previous mockups and material from the entire editing and design process. We will review successes and errors in different books from other publishers and I will give some important bases when considering making a book. 

Module 6.
Design and assembly of collective exhibition. Juan Carlos Sanchez-Lamadrid
In this module we will learn about exhibition assembly, working from the projects themselves, which will be presented at the end of the course in a group exhibition in the Cobertura Photo gallery.

An exhibition proposal will be proposed with a journey from its initial concept to its installation on the wall and we will also learn about the practical side: the different supports and formats that we can use.

To do this, we will have the advice of Clorofila Digital and Bulmam.
